| The market of Louhans is one of the biggest market in France. Every Monday morning (and every 1rst and 3rd Monday for the fairs), the little medieval town of Louhans and its main street with the 157 arcades welcomes a picturesque market. It is actually the poultry market which has given the Louhans market its reputation. After all, we are in the home land of the famous Poulet de Bresse! On this enormous market, you will find however everything you’d expect on a market, from eggs, butter, cheeses to all other traditional local produce. The market is always busy, more even during the Summer of course. It is advisable to go to the market fairly early to get a good parking place. The Louhans market is an absolute must when you visit Burgundy !
