What a Beatiful Oasis! Chateau l'epeviere is a stunning campsite a real gem in the heart of Burgundy, we do overnight stops there nearly every year!(on the way to languedoc) It is a quiet, well equipped friendly site, catering for families and couples alike. When we pull up after the long drive from Calais, It is the best feeling in the world. The Kronenburg on tap is to die for! Our children love the 2 pools and the table tennis tables, we love the fact they can safely go off and play without mum and dad being worried. As far as the restaurant goes it is lovely but advisable to book, the take away is brilliant and the beef bourgignon a must! They even sell their own wine. Its a GEM it truly is and the staff are all wonderful and very welcoming. I would give this 5 stars!

Wonderful campsite
We have stayed many times using as a stopover but in 2008 decided to stay for longer with Canvas Holidays as we loved the site and surrounding area so much. Can't really fault anything. Have always been blessed with excellane weather as well. You must either bring your own or hire bicycles to get the very best of the local area. Back again in 2010 - again as a stopover but looking forward very much to when just my husband and I can just book a relaxing break at Gigny without the kids

Fantastic site
We have visited you on and off over the last 10 years, more often as a stop-over on our way south. But now we're getting that little bit older, we are now only going as far as either the Loire or Burgundy regions. So next year, we'll be visiting you again in June. Looking forward already to seeing you.

leuke camping
Wij zijn net terug (27-9-2009) en hebben ruim 2 weken genoten op de camping,sanitair was tot eerder gestelde bericht op deze site schoon en fris (werd 2 x per dag schoongemaakt) altijd lekker warm water om te douche en aftewassen. Personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.Het binnen bad is wat aan de kleine kant, maar daar integen heb je ook nog een buitenbad met ligstoelen erbij, water was wat fris. Plaatsen zijn zeer ruim, het enige nadeel kan zijn als je aan de andere kant van de watertap zit moet je bij een ander lang de caravan of tent. ( wij stonden over de brug tegen de omheining aan, met watertappunt. Wij hebben het inieder geval erg genoten daar. Ook niet onbelangrijk voor veel mensen je kunt er GRATIS INTERNETTEN. verblijf
de camping ligt mooi en met het kasteel erbij is het echt een plaatje. Echter het sanitair en het zwembad vielen tegen. Het sanitair is niet schoon en het zwembad is te klein voor het aantal bezoekers en het water is koud. Het eten in het restaurant is ook niet super. de omgeving is zeker een aanrader.

GREAT SITE
WE STAYED FOR 12 NIGHTS IN JULY 2009.REALLY ENJOYED OUR TIME AT THE SITE.ALL THE STAFF WE CAME INTO CONTACT WITH WERE VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY.THE SHOWERS BLOCKS SPOTLESSLY CLEAN AT ALL TIMES.AS WAS THE REST OF THE CAMPSITE.PTCHES VERY SPACIOUS.TRIED MY HAND AT FISHING DOWN AT THE LAKE MANAGED TO CATCH A FEW.IT WOULD BE NICE IF SOME PEGS PUT IN PLACE. Our favourite site in France
We stayed for a week with Canvas Holidays in may 2008 and fell in love with the site. We returned for 5 nights with our new motorhome in August 2008 and again had a fantastic holiday. We have booked another 5 nights for this coming August. The pain au raisin are wonderful, a must every morning, the pizzas are superb too. The bar is nice for a drink in the evenings and we love the wifi. I asked our two children what they would like to change and they have asked for a slide in the pool and wifi access throughout the site!!

We have stayed many times at l'Eperviere, usually one night on transit south and two or three returning north. We have always found it a very friendly and well run site. This is all down to the hard work of the families Engel and Berard who are always working hard to improve and maintain the high standard of the site. This new interactive website also demonstrates their desire to keep up to date. This year we are trying their new site at Tournus. Let's see how that compares.

Perfect stopover
Stayed in 2008 overnight with Canvas holidays on your campsite. Only regret we had was that it was just for one night. What a beautiful, peaceful place. We had a lovely pitch, not far from the loos and showers and enjoyed a great take away beef bourguignon! We'll be back this year, but this time it will be for 5 nights!

Rust en ruimte
We verbleven in juli 2007 bij jullie gedurende 4 dagen op het gedeelte na de brug links en hadden een supergrote plek met wateraan- en afvoer. Onze kinderen hadden de speeltuin tegenover onze plek, we konden ze dus vanaf de tent in de gaten houden, perfekt! We zijn heerlijk tot rust gekomen, ik denk dat we de volgende keer wat langer bij jullie zullen blijven, maar dat wordt waarschijnlijk pas in 2010.

Séjour dans parc extra ordinaire
Nous sommes tombés sous le charme de votre château et son parc. En mai 2008, nous avons passé 2 superbes semaines sur l'emplacement n° 17 au bord de l'étang, le top car je suis pêcheur (des carpes de près de 1 mètre en parfaite santé). Votre restaurant est certainement parmi l'un des meilleurs restaurants de camping que nous connaissons, pourtant cela fait plus de 30 ans que nous faisons du camping! Merci familles Engel et Bérard !

Gezellige kasteelcamping
We kwamen eigenlijk min of meer per ongeluk bij jullie terecht in juni 2008 voor een overnachting, maar we vonden het zo leuk dat we gewoon de hele vakantie bij jullie zijn gebleven. Prachtige streek met vele leuke dorpjes, marktjes, romaanse kerken en prachtige kastelen... De wijnen niet te vergeten natuurlijk ! Ook de wijnproeverijen met de lokale wijnboeren bij jullie in de kelder waren hardstikke gezellig en leerzaam. We zullen jullie aanbevelen en zeker nog eens terugkomen.

Great stay
We stayed at your wonderful, very friendly campsite last season and had a lovely meal in your restaurant. We only stayed 2 nights and moved on, but we wished we had stayed our complete holidays with you ! We'll definately be back !
