All our facilities are open from the end of April to the end of September (restaurant and bread from 1st April). Combined with our spacious touring pitches and our sense of hospitality, they guarantee you an enjoyable stay in Southern Burgundy.

Our campsite is situated in Southern Burgundy between Chalon-sur-Saône and Tournus. From the campsite you can discover the Côte Chalonnaise and its vineyards, the abbey of Cluny, the market of Louhans, the perched village of Brancion or the Roche de Solutré.
Touring pitches for your holiday in tent, caravan or motorhome
Castel Camping Château de l’Epervière, a 5-star campsite in Burgundy, offers 160 pitches for your tent, caravan or camper van spread over its 10-hectare park. These camping pitches are spacious to very spacious (on average 120-130 m² and some up to 250 m² !) well kept and green.
Hard-standing touring pitches and fully serviced touring pitches in Burgundy
The campsite also has hard-standing (gravel) pitches for motorhomes. The fully serviced pitches (10 A electricity and water tap and drainage) offer you a little extra comfort. We also have 2 Premium pitches (with a table and 6 chairs, 2 sun loungers, a parasol, a fridge and a barbecue).
A restaurant with Burgundy specialities on the menu
Inside the Château de l’Epervière, discover a restaurant with a cosy atmosphere where you can enjoy traditional cuisine and delicious Burgundy specialities accompanied by prestigious Burgundy wines. The restaurant offers an elegant setting behind the thick walls of the castle with a beautiful vaulted room.

If you prefer to dine outside, the campsite restaurant also has a beautiful shaded terrace in the courtyard of the château de l’Epervière. Among the Burgundy specialities on the menu of our restaurant you will find, among others, Burgundy snails, oeufs en meurette, chicken in cream sauce or the legendary beef bourguignon.

Castel Camping Château de l’Epervière has a pleasant heated swimming pool with a fun paddling pool for children’s enjoyment. We also have an indoor pool. The Castel Camping Château de l’Epervière’s heated outdoor swimming pool, located opposite the castle, invites you to spend relaxing afternoons in the sun.

The little ones will appreciate the heated paddling pool with little slides. You can enjoy the shade under the parasols while relaxing on our sunloungers. All the pools of the Château de l’Epervière are heated so that you can enjoy them in all seasons. When the weather is not that good (very rare in Southern Burgundy !), a small heated indoor pool (40 m²) is available.
Gîte in Burgundy in a 16th century castle
The west wing of the château de l’Epervière houses 3 spacious (60m²) and fully equipped gîtes. These three gîtes have two bedrooms (one room with a double bed and one room with 3 single beds). All three gîtes have an authentic atmosphere with comfortable furniture, beds and mattresses. Our gîtes have a shared terrace, with garden tables and chairs, where you can sit and enjoy the peace and quiet of a late afternoon.
Bike ride on the Voie Bleue along the river Saône
From Luxembourg to Lyon, the Voie Bleue is a 700 km long cycle path, through Eastern France. This Voie Bleue runs along the Saône river. A few hundred metres from the Château de l’Epervière campsite, the Voie Bleue awaits you in Gigny-sur-Saône. By following the Saône you can easily reach Tournus or Chalon-sur-Saône. And if you didn’t your own bike, we propose bike rental at the campsite reception.

Environmental consciousness at Campsite Burgundy Château de l’Epervière
Concerned about our environment, we have put in place a number of measures in order to take better into account our planet and to be fully involved in sustainable development. All these efforts to reduce our impact on the environment have earned us the Green Key label since 2015. We practice waste recycling and try to reduce our water and electricity consumption amongst other measures.
Camping in Burgundy accessible to all
In order to be able to welcome anyone wishing to come and stay in Burgundy in our campsite, we are trying to improve the accessibility of our campsite, especially for people with reduced mobility. Today, almost all of our facilities and touring pitches are accessible to people with disabilities. In addition to the fact that our campsite is flat, our facilities (restaurant, shop, bar) have been adapted to welcome people with reduced mobility. The sanitary facilities also have a bathroom adapted for people with reduced mobility.
