Tournus, history and gastronomy on the banks of the Saône

A few minutes from the campsite, on the banks of the Saône, awaits the pretty town of Tournus. This charming little town is dominated by the towers of its imposing Saint-Philibert abbey church. This church, built in the 10th century, is a masterpiece of Romanesque art. However, it is not the only asset of Tournus. The town is also one of Burgundy’s top gastronomic destinations. It has two Michelin-starred restaurants as well as several other very good restaurants.
